Scripture Commentaries
People who boast against the Lord, do so in vain.
There are people who plot against God, His Church, and His people.
Nahum 1:11 From you, O Nineveh, comes forth a plotter of evil against the LORD, a counselor of wickedness.
They dissuade than persuade people to propagate God's Kingdom. They wish God's Kingdom will not proceed.
The prophet, in his time, addresses the enemies of God both Jews (today's carnal Christians) and Assyrians (sworn enemies of God), informing them that God can perform what he promises, without anybody.
No one can stop the unstoppable God.
No one can stop him from ensuring affliction will not rise a second time in your life.
In the name of Jesus, affliction will not rise a second time in your life.
Just make sure you are in good standing with God.
Remorse corner
Those who are boasting against the Lord do so because they have not seen the power of God. Next time they boast, tell them their boasting is not good.
