Scripture Commentaries
You should know if you are a child of God or not.
The Holy Spirit does an assessment by bearing witness to your spirit confirming who you are. Every child of God must have this testimony: that he/she is a child of God.
As there is the Trinity so also children of men, are a triumvirate having a body, soul, and spirit.
The Spirit is always at work bearing witness as evidence of our sonship and is delighted to get a conviction of God’s Fatherhood in us.
Your human spirit, if aligned with God will testify you are a child of God, immediately it is acted upon by the Spirit of God, Job 32:8.
Remember, our relationship with Christ is in the Spirit, ref John 4:24.
It is either you allow the Holy Spirit to communicate with your spirit, or allow your spirit to dominate your life in sin, ref Rom 6:16. James 4:17 Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.
God is always willing to communicate, but is your spirit willing to do the same?
Are you in the faith, are you still a child of God?

In your spirit, is also your conscience: this is your attribute composing knowledge of good and evil. God works on this so that you are cleansed from evil works
Hebrews 9:14 How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit.....purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?
Call to Word action
Your heart is at the center of it all.
1 John 3:20-21 For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knoweth all things.
Beloved, if our heart condemns us not, then have we confidence toward God.
The Christian clarion duty
The inspiration of the Almighty gives your spirit understanding, Job 32:8.
If you release yourself to God, your heart, spirit, and conscience will bear you witness that you are a child of God. You will yield your body and soul to holiness.
