MAKE NO PROVISION FOR THE FLESH...

Proverbs 31:30  "Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised.

Insight and Highlight

The choice made, based on lust, is Godly love lost.

Insight and Highlight

Outward adornment does not last.

The praise that will be real, long-lasting, and enduring is only deserving to those who fear the Lord.

For the intending couples to marriage, the sister who has regards for God, will perform the duties and live the life of the virtuous woman.

Remember the scripture does not say beauty is bad neither does it condemn favor.

Attraction cannot be put aside. Something would attract you to him/her. Most times, if not all the time, you should be attracted to the person you would want to court to marriage.

What our Scripture of today is saying, is that either beauty or favor is of any real value unless they are built on the fear of God and daily accompanied by it.

Both are valueless if the fear of God is absent. It is not worth the while, at all.

Do not be led by lust or you will be lost.

If he/she is God's choice for you, to wait is not a loss but a gain.

Those who wait patiently do not lose, Ps 40:1, Is 40:31.

Ps 27:14  "....wait, I say, on the Lord

While you are waiting, or after you have received on the Lord and in the marriage proper, make no provision for the desires of the flesh!

Remorse corner

How is his/her attitude/character?

If you rush into marriage, you will end up rushing out, crushed.

Call to Word action

Be encouraged as you wait on God. It is worth the wait to wait till God visits you with a lead.

Job 14:14  "....all the days of my appointed time will I wait, till my change come.

The Christian clarion duty

Look beyond the attractiveness of the brother/sister even the deliciousness of his/her treats and delicacies, or any other hand of felicitations, compliments, or what have you.

Prayer

Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.

In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Lord, help me to patiently wait for your direction as to who to marry, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
