Prov 25:13– As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Insight and Highlight
Snow and cold compared to hot summer when employed does cool and is a good preservative for perishable food and cool drinks. So is a faithful messenger who refreshes the soul of the one who sends him and the one he is sent.
Scripture Commentaries
There is a famous quote which says the greatest ambitious person is his ambition.
There is also a saying of old which goes "when you send a messenger a message that is abusively disparaging in manner, a good messenger will deliver in a manner worthy of love yet uncompromised to the one he delivers to.
The Scripture says a faithful messenger brings healing and one who is wicked will fall into trouble, Proverbs 13:17– A wicked messenger falls into trouble, but a faithful envoy brings healing.
The bible teaches good delivery of messages.
Some messengers or information disseminating officials need to work on divulging information. The delivery is mostly very poor and wrath-provoking. Some even deliver worse than they were sent.
An ambassador is a messenger of his country to the nations he is deployed.
We must not downplay the office of a messenger neither should we resign it to menial interpretation. An ambassador's handling of message delivery can build a nation or cause wars between nations. His words can bring shame or honor.
Scripture admonishes every messenger to work on messages so as not to disappoint the one who sent him. Prov 10:26–
As vinegar to the teeth, and as smoke to the eyes, so is the sluggard to them that send him.
God admonishes messengers to be good enough to show those who are sending them they are reliable messengers, Proverbs 22:21– to show you true and reliable words, that you may soundly answer those who sent you?
So also it says every messenger should make happy or refreshes the soul that sent him, Prov 25:13– As the cold of snow in the time of harvest, so is a faithful messenger to them that send him: for he refresheth the soul of his masters.
Be a trusted messenger and envoy.
Remorse corner
A messenger who wilfully delivers a wrathful message to the one he is sent, instead of pacifying the angry tone of the one who sent him will himself fall into mischief.
Proverbs 13:17– A wicked messenger falleth into mischief: but a faithful ambassador is health.

Choose carefully who you send as your voice or who you hold out as a messenger.
Proverbs 26:6– He that sendeth a message by the hand of a fool cutteth off the feet, and drinketh damage.
Proverbs 26:1– Like snow in summer or rain in harvest, honor is not fitting for a fool
Prayer
Lord make me a worthy ambassador of Christ, not to condemn but walk in the ministry of reconciliation, in Jesus name.
