1 John 4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins.
Scripture Commentaries
God’s love is incomparable to other forms of love. There is no one we love that God’s love does not surpass the love we have for them.
The kind of love that loves sinners but hates their sins, ref John 5:14. The kind of love borne out a heart that loved the sinners while in their sins, Rom 5:8. Greater love, enough to die for the sinner, calling the sinner after the simlitude of a friend, John 15:13.
God wants this love between husbands and wives. Songs of Solomon 8:6-7 say "....for love is strong as death..."
"....Many waters cannot quench love,..."
Show love by praying for the lost and perishing souls asking that they will have an encounter with Jesus, ref Acts 9.
Invite someone to Christ today.
Remorse Corner
There is nothing more powerfully expressed in love as God’s love. In marriage, it must guide the mutual and passionate love between husbands and wives, Eph 5:25.
Call to Word action
It is the love that transcends to the love among brethren to dwell together in unity, Psalm 133.
The Christian clarion duty
It is the same love God wants us to have for the lost and perishing souls. To go in search of them and travail until Christ is formed in them, Gal 4:19.
Prayer
Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.
Lord, give us a fresh understanding of brotherly love that is real. Let there be love shared among us, let there be love, in Jesus name.
