Rom 12:1-3 Brethren, my heart's desire and prayer to God for Israel is, that they might be saved.
For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God.

Luke 22:42 Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
Scripture Commentaries
If we are to attain and fulfill our Kingdom potential, we must never set up our will against the holy will of God.
It is true God has given us liberty, 2 Cor 3:17 says Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.
There is the freedom to express our praise and honor to God. So also is the choice to disobey.
In Gen 2:17, Adam was not only allowed to eat any fruit of the tree in the garden except the tree of the knowledge of good and evil but he was also given everlasting life made sure upon his obedience.
By transgression, Adam would forfeit God's favor and inheritance, by obedience, he would inherit everlasting life.
Eve was deceived (1 Tim 2:14). She and Adam forfeited God's plan for themselves and generations to come. What a tragedy.
Remorse corner
Let us never set up our own will against the holy will of God.
Call to Word action
When we place our will over God's we will begin a life of toiling to regain the Holy image of God, and all the comfort of his favour, Rom 5:12.
The Christian clarion duty
After Adam and Eve's fall, mankind was left with the torment of sinful passions, and the terror of God's vengeance over sin, which we must all endure for as long as we live.
Prayer
Lord, let me not lose the comfort of Your favour. Let me not see the torment of sinful passions, and the terror of Your anger, in Jesus name.
