Matthew 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.

Insight and Highlight

Galatians 5:14 For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself.

Scripture Commentaries

No matter how "clever", cunny, or how well a person thinks he is at deceiving others, he will one day meet his match.

We must live to respect and honor one another, loving them as we love ourselves.

Lack of regard and respect for fellow beings make us treat them badly. We must learn to live to respect others' feelings.

The Apostle Paul admonishes "...thinking of others as better than yourselves", Philippians 2:3 Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves.

If we fail to do so, both God's word and nature inform us that evil deed is retributive.

There is a saying which goes "what goes around comes around".

As it is a saying among men so also it is written in the word of God.

The scriptures say the work of a man’s hand comes back to him.

Prov 12:14 A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

Proverbs 1:31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

Jacob met his match in Laban, his uncle. He was tricked to marry Leah first, instead of his heartthrob, Rachael.

He worked many years for his uncle in exchange for Rachael.

Though God came to his rescue, he still had a taste of how it feels to be cheated.

Jacob lamented later in old age saying "....few and evil have the days of the years of my life been,...", Gen 47:9.

We must all live to fear God. Let us treat others the way we want to be treated.

Remorse corner

There is retributive justice with God. Job 34:11 For according to a man's deeds He repays him; according to a man's ways.

Call to Word action

Isaiah 3:10 Say ye to the righteous, that it shall be well with him: for they shall eat the fruit of their doings. Woe unto the wicked! it shall be ill with him: for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

The Christian clarion duty

Luke 6:31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise.

Prayer

Lord, help me do to others as l would have them do to me.

Give me the fear of God when dealing with fellow mankind, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
