You can become more than you are now.
Paul explains to us the importance of our faith by expressing it as a race.
He says everyone runs the race to win a prize. He says we run this race so as to take the prize. You can be the one to receive the prize.
Not everyone is a winner or wants to be a winner. There are people who do not really care if they lose. There are those who resign to "any prize would do" and there are people who are satisfied with just being "one of the contenders or contestants."
Every winner is diligent, they adequately prepare and are determined to win.
They end up improving themselves to become more than they used to be to become more than they were.

Run every race, pursue every vision with every mind to succeed. Set your heart to succeed.
1 Corinthians 9:24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives the prize? Run in such a way to take the prize.

Do you want to be a master or be great? Jesus says by serving others, you can become a master.
Matthew 20:26 (Not so with you. Instead, whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant (NIV)

Scriptures say there are things we know in parts, even we prophesy in parts.
However, when we attain perfection, all things done in parts shall give way and be done away with ref 1 Cor 13:9-10.
Prayer
Lord lead me as l work towards the goal of being more than l am today. Open my eyes to see that l can only be a master through my service to others rather than lording over them, in Jesus name
