PAY ATTENTION TO YOUR SALVATION (No salvation, no resurrection)

Updated: Jan 6, 2022

1 Cor 15:17 And if Christ be not raised, your faith is vain; ye are yet in your sins.

Insight and Highlight

Pay attention to your salvation.

Any soul/body not raised in the resurrection was never saved when it was alive.

Scripture Commentaries

No resurrection, no salvation.

If Christ was not raised, then any preaching of salvation is in vain for there is no hope of the resurrection of the dead in Christ to live with Him in eternity, 1 Cor 15:12.

Also if anyone who dies is not raised to be with Jesus at the resurrection of the saints, he/she was never saved when he/she was alive. Hence no resurrection, no salvation, 1 Cor 15:14. No salvation no resurrection to eternal life!, 1 Cor 15:17

The bible teaches that not all will be alive when Jesus comes again. This means, some though in Christ, would have died before Christ's second coming.

The Apostle Paul says in 1 Thess 4:15 "...by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep"

He further said in 1 Thess 5:16 "...and the dead in Christ shall rise first:....we which are alive shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air..."

Everyone who dies in Christ will be raised and will God bring with Jesus, 1 Thess 4:14.

Paul says if Christ be risen, then everyone who dies in Him will be raised when Christ comes. Anyone who is not raised, his professed faith while he was alive was in vain.

The reason why there will be a resurrection of those who died in Christ is that Christ rose from the dead. This is what the Apostle preached, 1 Cor 15:12-19.

Therefore he says our salvation is not only to save us from our sins while we are alive but also to raise us from the dead by the resurrection of the body so that we will be with the Lord forever.

There is a resurrection of the saints. It is the hope and comfort of the believer, we look forward to it, 1 Cor 15:42-44.

Remorse corner

Brethren, remember you must be saved.

No salvation, no resurrection.

If Christ was not raised from the dead, our saving faith, salvation is in vain.

If you are not raised in resurrection, your faith in the resurrection of Christ was never salvation, ref 1 Cor 15: 17.

Call to Word action

1 Cor 15:19 If in this life only we have hope in Christ, we are of all men most miserable.

The Christian clarion duty

Do you wish to see Christ as He is?

Be sure you are saved now! People who lost out were those who doubted the resurrection, 1 Cor 15:35.

Prayer

1 John 3:2 Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

Lord, give me the assurance of my salvation, let me be saved to the end.

Let me see You as You are, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
