Exd 2:23-24 And it came to pass in process of time, that the king of Egypt died: and the children of Israel sighed by reason of the bondage, and they cried, and their cry came up unto God by reason of the bondage. To refuse to pray is to tell God you do not need Him.
Scripture Commentaries
To "pray" is often referred to as to "cry".
Oftentimes to "pray" takes different patterns, like silent or loud expressions.
To "cry" is more intense and often is expressed in emotional outbursts etc.
Whichever way we choose, as occasion demands, God responds and hears as He chooses to do.
The truth also is, God wants to hear from us, Jer 33:3.
What happens if we do not pray? What does it mean to God?
To refuse to pray is to tell God you do not need Him.
To refuse to pray is to tell God, you have answers to your problems.
To refuse to pray is to tell God you can face the devil.
To refuse to pray is to say you do not believe God's word that He will answer when you call.
To put in one word, to refuse to pray is pride.
When we pray as we ought to, God answers prayers.
Prayer requires we be patient for answers.
Those who patiently wait, do receive from the Lord.
Ps 40:1-2 I waited patiently for the Lord, and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.

Call to Word action
God says in His word that if you do not pray, you do not receive.
John 16:24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
The Christian clarion duty
Pray with knowledge and understanding. It is said if there is a people to pray, there is a God to answer.
James 4: 2, 3 Ye lust, and have not: ye kill, and desire to have, and cannot obtain: ye fight and war, yet ye have not, because ye ask not.
Ye ask, and receive not, because ye ask amiss, that ye may consume it upon your lusts.
Prayer
Lord, help me in the place of prayer. Let me seek You when You may be found, let me seek and find You in Jesus name.
