Romans 7:23-25 But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind, I myself serve the law of God, but with the flesh the law of sin.

Scripture Commentaries
We must with joy accept what comes to us as believers whether it be good or bad believing the end of insults, attacks, challenges will come in our favor. James says My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations. (James 1:2).
Peter says when you patiently accepted chastisement for what you did wrong, he says it is commendable and acceptable to God if you patiently condoned insults or blame for what you did right.
1 Peter 2:20 For what credit is there if you endure the beatings you deserve for having done wrong? But if you endure suffering even when you have done right, God will bless you for it (GNT).
In the next verse, 1 Peter 2:21, he says
*To this you were called, because Christ suffered for you, leaving you an example, that you should follow in his steps.*(NIV).
How many trials can faith your bear?
How well you keep persevering in spite of challenges will determine how strong you are. It is a fundamental evaluation of any Christian calling.
Are you joyful in trials?
Remorse corner
What we go through in trials maybe God's way to humble us so that we do not exalt ourselves above measure, 2 Cor 12:7.
Word action
2 Cor 12:6 For though I would desire to glory, I shall not be a fool; for I will say the truth: but now I forbear, lest any man should think of me above that which he seeth me to be, or that he heareth of me.
The Christian clarion duty
To refuse to be joyful in the trial is to tell God, we do not accept or conform to His fellowship of suffering made conformable unto His death, ref 1 Pet 2:20, Phlp 3:10.
Prayer
Lord let me not lose courage in trying times. Give me joy in the midst of trials, in Jesus name.
