DO YOU BELIEVE IN GOD?

Updated: Nov 17, 2021

Acts 8:36-37 And as they went on their way, they came unto a certain water: and the eunuch said, See, here is water; what doth hinder me to be baptized?

And Philip said, If thou believest with all thine heart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.

And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went down both into the water, both Philip and the eunuch; and he baptized him.

Insight and Highlight

Romans 10:9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Scripture Commentaries

To believe in Christ is to trust and have confidence and faith in Him, not trusting yourself. To be confident and trust in yourself to succeed is an inspiration which God endorses but your foundational trust must be Christ, Prov 3:5-6.

No one can ever trust in himself to survive or save his own life. All souls are Christ's.

Therefore to believe is to say you trust Him with your life, entirely.

It is so clear in our walk with Jesus that there is nothing to be achieved if the heart is not in tune with God.

No one can show you the Way, if they did, you cannot have a relationship with Christ if your heart is in rebellion with Him.

A pure heart will not oppose an outward confession of Christ.

The mouth of the heart that received Christ will utter an outward expression of an inner belief of faith.

The pure heart and the true confession of faith in Christ are inseparable. The mouth is the outward expression of the believing heart. The heart is the seat and the ground upon which the mouth confesses Christ.

The question every believer must ask him/herself is "Do l believe with all my heart, or better still "Am l willing to believe with all my heart"?

Remorse corner

Do you believe with all your heart or better still are you willing to believe with all your heart?

What is your heart inditing?

Is it after Christ as your mouth confesses?

Call to Word action

Colossians 2:10 And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power.

The Christian clarion duty

Salvation is key to Heaven

Anyone who has not believed in his heart and has not confessed Jesus Christ as Lord with his mouth, will not make Heaven.

Prayer

Let me not be a castaway after l have preached others to Christ.

Let me believe to the end, in Jesus' name.

Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence.

God bless you.
